Watan Ko Jano

Watan Ko Jano

(A Poem by Dr. Bilal Ahmad Bhat)

Watan Ko Jano, the call is loud,
A voice from the mountains, above the cloud.
From Kashmir’s embrace, to Kanyakumari’s shore,
It beckons the soul, to explore and more.

In the valleys so deep, where the rivers run wide,
Where cultures and stories like rivers collide.
From the North to the South, let the journey begin,
Watan Ko Jano, let your spirit take wing.

A land rich in colors, in tradition, in art,
Where history’s whispers touch the heart.
The villages hum with a song so sweet,
The beat of the earth, the rhythm of the street.

Watan Ko Jano, it’s more than a place,
It’s a feeling, a love, a warm embrace.
The food, the scents, the laughter so pure,
In every corner, memories endure.

From the temples of wisdom, to the pilgrim’s prayer,
Each step you take, shows how much we care.
Eco-tourism’s gift, nature’s own hand,
Let’s nurture and preserve this cherished land.

For those who’ve never ventured far,
To see the sun rise, to count the stars.
Let the elders roam where they once dreamt,
Give them the chance, let their hearts be content.

Watan Ko Jano, it’s not just a call,
It’s a journey that binds us, one and all.
With unity, with purpose, we pave the way,
For a future where we all can stay.

In every footstep, in every stride,
Watan Ko Jano, with love as our guide.
So let’s explore, let’s see and learn,
To the heart of the nation, where dreams return.

So come, join hands, and together let’s go,
Watan Ko Jano, the spirit will flow.
For in each of us lies a dream to fulfill,
Watan Ko Jano, it’s time to build.
